Amphenol Fiber Systems International’s (AFSI) SMPTE 304M series fiber optic termini (110-TP-125 pin and 110-TS-125 socket) provide superior optical and mechanical performance. Designed to fit into SMPTE 304M standard connectors from AFSI and other selected suppliers, this low cost, high precision termini family is ideal for use in harsh environment fiber optic interconnections. Available for single mode and multimode fibers, these termini conform to the interface requirements of the SMPTE 304M standard.
The 110-TP-125 and 110-TS-125 series termini utilize the highest quality zirconia ceramic ferrules and split alignment sleeves available. AFSI’s tight-tolerance ferrules are optimized for low insertion loss, low back reflection and exceptional durability. The spherical end face ferrules are suited for either standard or ultra polishes for high bandwidth/high data rate applications. In addition, epoxy removal and polishing times are minimized by the ferrule’s pre-domed design feature.
The 110-115 termini’s zirconia split alignment sleeve design ensures accurate physical contact, fiber-to-fiber alignment and guarantees the highest performing connector of its kind for use in a variety of demanding environmental conditions. This fiber optic termination system offers precise, superior and reliable connections over repeated connector mating cycles and over a wide range of harsh environmental conditions.
